New Delhi – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended a dinner invitation at the state residence of Indian President Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, located in New Delhi, India, Friday (25/1) evening.
During the event, Droupadi thanked Prabowo for accepting the invitation to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations as Guest of Honour.
‘Thanking President Subianto for accepting the invitation to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations as Guest of Honour. He [Droupadi] recalled that 75 years ago, President Sukarno of Indonesia was the Guest of Honour on our [India’s] first Republic Day in 1950,’ the official account of X President of India, @rashtrapatibhvn, wrote.
‘This is a reflection of the long-standing relationship and strong democratic tradition between India and Indonesia,’ it read.
Prabowo came wearing a dark blue suit. Meanwhile, Droupadi wore a yellow and green sari. During the dinner, Prabowo sat next to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The meeting began with a salute accompanied by the national anthem Indonesia Raya. Prabowo was then guided by Droupadi to shake hands with members of his government.
Prabowo then guided Droupadi to shake hands with a number of Red and White Cabinet ministers, including Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Minister of Komdigi Meutya Hafid.
Prabowo and Droupadi also had time to chat while looking at the historical ornaments in Rashtrapati Bhavan. (RR)
