Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto attended the 2024 National Christmas Celebration, themed “Let Us Now Go to Bethlehem,” held at the Indonesia Arena, GBK complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (December 28). The event was attended by tens of thousands of congregants.
Arriving at 7:15 PM WIB in a Garuda Maung vehicle, Prabowo wore a brown batik shirt and a black peci. He was greeted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka upon his arrival.
As Prabowo made his way to the event venue, he was accompanied by the melodic sounds of kolintang music from Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The kolintang ensemble recently earned recognition as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO during a session in Paraguay on December 5, 2024. Adding to the ceremony, Prabowo was draped in a blue ulos cloth as a gesture of welcome.
The audience erupted into applause and cheers as Prabowo entered, filling the venue with a resounding reception.
“Pak Prabowo, Mr. President!” called the attendees, clapping enthusiastically to greet him.
On his way to his seat, Prabowo paused to greet and wave at the attendees, shaking hands with guests, including several Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet who were also present.
