Semarang – President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, instructed police officers to ensure security during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations is handled properly.
Prabowo delivered this directive while leading the 2024 regional unit chiefs assembly at the Police Academy (Akpol) in Semarang, Central Java, on Wednesday (11/12).
“Nataru is just around the corner. You will be busy; you will be tired. (So) carry out (security measures) properly,” Prabowo said.
The President emphasized that maintaining security and order in a country supports stability and a favorable business climate, which ultimately benefits the broader community.
“Security and order support the stability of the business climate. A conducive business climate attracts investment, and investment creates jobs,” said Prabowo.
He added that the nation and its people greatly need the presence and role of skilled police officers.
“The nation and its people require skilled police officers,” he stated.
The regional unit chiefs assembly was attended by 571 participants, including top officials from National Police Headquarters, regional police chiefs (kapolda), and district police chiefs (kapolres). The theme of this year’s assembly was “Precision Policing to Support the 2024 National Agenda in Realizing Domestic Security.” (RR)
