Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto hosted representatives from Japanese business associations Japan Indonesia Association (JAPINDA) and Japan Jakarta Club (JJC) for a luncheon meeting at the State Palace on Friday (6/12).
The gathering, attended by 19 JAPINDA delegates and 14 JJC delegates, emphasized strengthening economic ties and cooperation.
Prabowo highlighted the priorities of his administration, including a commitment to public service and clean governance.
“The most important thing is serving the people, ensuring clean governance, and maintaining an efficient bureaucracy,” Prabowo said.
Prabowo welcomed Japanese investors, expressing hopes for their contributions to Indonesia’s economic growth, human resource development, education, healthcare, and environmental initiatives.
“The global situation is full of uncertainties, which is why Indonesia seeks friendship with all nations. Traditionally, we don’t take sides,” he stated.
Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s diplomatic philosophy of building positive relations worldwide.
“Our philosophy is that a thousand friends are too few, and one enemy is too many. We extend a warm welcome to all,” he remarked.
The president also expressed confidence in Indonesia’s potential for rapid progress, setting high expectations for the country’s future achievements.
“We are highly optimistic. We will move forward at a fast pace, achieve ambitious goals, and prove to everyone that Indonesia can,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
