Jakarta — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized the importance of clean governance, which he believes is a cornerstone for leading Indonesia toward prosperity.

“We must be determined to create a clean government because, everywhere, clean governance guarantees prosperity,” said Prabowo during the 2024 Annual Meeting of Bank Indonesia (PTBI) at Grha Bhasvara Icchana, Bank Indonesia headquarters, Jakarta, on Friday evening (29/11).

Prabowo elaborated that clean governance ensures efficient government performance, enabling optimal management of national assets.

“A clean government, an efficient government, will continue to safeguard and manage the nation’s wealth. You all are the frontline defenders,” he stated.

Prabowo expressed his great trust and expectations for the Merah Putih Cabinet to consistently work tirelessly.

“I feel like this is a football team; everyone is working hard, to the extent that it’s said in our cabinet there are no days off. We work whenever we are needed,” Prabowo remarked.

Since officially taking office on October 20, 2024, Prabowo and his Merah Putih Cabinet have worked in synergy, fostering a spirit of collaboration and teamwork.

“In this one month of leading the cabinet, I see my cabinet working as an extraordinary, highly efficient team. It has only been a month, but I don’t know about the months ahead. For now, I see strong cohesion,” Prabowo said.

Looking forward, Prabowo expressed optimism about achieving the nation’s shared hopes and goals for a just and prosperous Indonesia.

“I am confident we will achieve what we hope for, what we aspire to. We can do it, and we will do it, and I believe in all of you,” he concluded. (RR)
