Jakarta – Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto hosted a Halal Bihalal event with 1,000 employees of the Ministry of Defense at the Ministry’s building in Jakarta, on Monday (6/5).
During the event, Prabowo extended Eid al-Fitr 1445 H greetings and prayed for the acceptance of all deeds by the Almighty.
He also extended his best wishes to those celebrating the Ascension of Jesus Christ, which falls on May 9.
‘I apologize for any wrongs, and may our acts of worship be accepted by the Almighty. Also, to our Christian brothers and sisters, congratulations on celebrating the Ascension of Jesus Christ on the upcoming May 9,’ he said.
Furthermore, Prabowo provided guidance on the importance of a strong defense for Indonesia, a great nation with diverse societal elements.
‘Indonesia is a nation of various religions, numerous ethnic groups, and races, but we share one fate, one future, and one destiny,’ he added.
In line with this, he emphasized that all employees in the defense sector must understand and execute their duties as stipulated in the 1945 Constitution.
‘Because the mission of defense is crucial. In the 1945 Constitution, our primary national goal is to protect the entire homeland of Indonesia, then to advance public welfare and enlighten the life of the nation,’ he declared.”
