Abu Dhabi – The President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, along with the Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, met with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) at Al Shati Palace, Abu Dhabi, on Monday, (14/5).
In the meeting, Prabowo and Gibran both wore black suits.
“Your Highness, please allow me to introduce my Vice President,” said Prabowo, and was immediately greeted by MBZ with a nod and an embrace for Gibran. They then entered the meeting room together.
During the meeting, MBZ once again congratulated Prabowo and Gibran on their victory in the presidential election. MBZ conveyed his best wishes for their success and prayed that Prabowo-Gibran would lead the nation of Indonesia to a better future and fulfill the aspirations of its people.
Furthermore, the two leaders discussed cooperative relations. MBZ emphasized his interest in leveraging the strong strategic relationship between the UAE and Indonesia to deepen cooperation and promote mutual development and prosperity.
Meanwhile, in his capacity as Minister of Defense, Prabowo and MBZ discussed bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of defense and military, and ways to enhance them for the benefit of both countries. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
