JAKARTA – The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) stated that a cabinet reshuffle is necessary to prepare and support a smooth and effective government transition.
“Kadin Indonesia, as a strategic partner of the government in the economy, sees the appointment of Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and Agency Heads as necessary to prepare and support a smooth and effective government transition,” said Arsjad Rasjid, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday (19/8).
Consequently, the business community supports the stability of the elected government’s transition to maintain a conducive business environment.
The government transition is expected to provide certainty for business operators and investors to continue driving the national economy.
Arsjad highlighted Kadin Indonesia’s belief in the strong synergy and cooperation between the government and the business community.
He believes that Indonesia will become more resilient in facing global challenges and continue to collaborate for an advanced Indonesia.
“Especially achieving an economic growth of 8% and realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” Arsjad stated.
Arsjad also congratulated all individuals President Joko Widodo appointed or reshuffled as new State Officials towards the end of his term.
As known, President Jokowi appointed seven people into the cabinet and new bodies in the last two months of his tenure.
“We congratulate the appointments of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman Andi Atgas, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment/BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics Angga Raka, Head of Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi, Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana, and Head of the BPOM Taruna Ikrar,” he added.
