Bogor — The clear skies above SDN Cimahpar 5 in Bogor on Friday afternoon (May 2) seemed to witness a moment the students will never forget—especially for Shakila and Lintang.
On this year’s National Education Day, they didn’t just attend school as usual. That day, they shook hands with none other than the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
Shakila beamed as she recalled the moment she met the President. “I said thank you to President Prabowo. Thank you for coming today, Mr. President. Please stay healthy,” she said sincerely, masking her nerves with pride and joy.
Her classmate Lintang was just as thrilled. He offered a heartfelt wish for the President. “Thank you, Mr. President Prabowo Subianto. I hope you always stay healthy,” he said briefly but meaningfully.
This simple yet powerful moment took place after President Prabowo delivered his speech in front of students, teachers, and parents during the launch of the Accelerated High-Impact Results Program (PHTC). In a warm and intimate setting, Prabowo greeted the children one by one, responding to their enthusiastic welcome. He didn’t just pass by—he paused, looked the children in the eyes, and extended his hand.
For kids like Shakila and Lintang, this wasn’t just a meeting with a head of state. It was proof that their country cares and pays attention to them—ordinary children who now feel extraordinary.
Their school, once in poor condition, has now been completely renovated. Thanks to the PHTC initiative under President Prabowo’s leadership, the classrooms are now brighter, cleaner, and more modern. Students can learn with joy, and teachers can teach with renewed spirit.
On top of that, they now enjoy the government’s Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) every day at school. This program doesn’t just provide nutrition—it brings a sense of security and happiness, helping these children grow and learn in a healthier environment.
