Prabowo Subianto: “Wherever I Go, Indonesia Is Respected”

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that Indonesia is a highly respected country on the global stage, a sentiment he said he has experienced during his recent official trips abroad.

“Everywhere I go, Indonesia is respected. I truly enjoy this. Perhaps it is the result of the hard work of previous administrations,” Prabowo said during his speech at Bank Indonesia’s Annual Meeting at Graha Bhasvara Icchana, Central Jakarta, on Friday evening (29/11).

Prabowo recently conducted official visits to six countries within approximately two weeks, attending significant summits such as the APEC Summit in Lima, Peru, and the G20 Summit in Brazil.

“At these summits, I was honored even though I had been in office for less than a month. It’s not me, Prabowo, who was honored—it’s Indonesia that was respected,” he added.

He attributed the respect for Indonesia to the country’s ability to maintain stable economic conditions. This respect was also evident in how some global leaders expressed their eagerness to be invited to Indonesia.

Prabowo noted that Indonesia’s economic stability is something to be grateful for. However, he urged all parties to remain vigilant, particularly amid global geopolitical uncertainties.
