Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasised that the TNI and Polri must always be introspective and self-correcting in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

Prabowo conveyed this statement when attending the 2025 TNI-Polri Rapim event with the theme ‘TNI-Polri Synergy to Support the Realisation of Asta Cita’ which took place at the Tribata Building, Thursday (30/1).

‘I certainly ask all of us TNI and Polri to always be introspective, always correct ourselves,’ Prabowo said after the event to the media.

Prabowo said that the TNI-Polri, according to Prabowo, has a very important role in upholding sovereignty and as law enforcers.

‘I said their role is very important. They are sovereignty enforcers, they are guardians of sovereignty, they are law enforcers,’ he said.

For this reason, Prabowo expects the TNI-Polri leaders to be good leaders because they have been given great trust by the people.

‘So, I emphasise that they must be good leaders, I remind them that they are expected by the people, they are given great trust by the people,’ Prabowo said.

‘The people pay for the TNI and Polri, the TNI and Polri must protect the people,’ he continued.

Prabowo then reminded the TNI-Polri to always be at the centre of the people and participate in efforts to build the nation.

‘Always discipline themselves, always maintain discipline, and I emphasise that they must always be in the midst of the people, always with the people, building, so our TNI and Polri are the people’s army, and the people’s police,’ he added. (RR)
