Jakarta — Political analyst Ujang Komaruddin highlighted the swift actions of Indonesia’s newly inaugurated 8th President, Prabowo Subianto, on his first day in office. Right after his inauguration, Prabowo immediately unveiled the lineup of his Kabinet Merah Putih (Red and White Cabinet) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, on Sunday (October 20).
Ujang noted that Prabowo’s decision to immediately announce his cabinet reflects his determination to have his administration hit the ground running, signaling no time wasted in getting to work.
“President Prabowo’s inauguration today was not wasted. He immediately went full speed, with a strong focus on getting to work. There’s no time for games or rest—his cabinet is ready to start working right away for the people and the nation,” Ujang commented.
Prabowo’s schedule on inauguration day was packed with significant events, starting with the swearing-in ceremony for the President and Vice President at the Nusantara Building of the DPR/MPR/DPD complex. Following the inauguration, Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming quickly proceeded to the Presidential Palace for a formal farewell ceremony with outgoing President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
Later in the evening, Prabowo hosted a state gala dinner with international dignitaries before making the anticipated announcement of his cabinet.
Ujang believes that Prabowo’s quick actions are a testament to his commitment to fulfill the campaign promises he made to the Indonesian people.
“Prabowo’s quick, decisive action is evidence of his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises. This should be appreciated as a reflection of his determination to carry out his duties and work towards improving the welfare of the Indonesian people,” Ujang concluded. (RR)
