Jakarta – There was an interesting moment when Indonesian Defense Minister and president-elect Prabowo Subianto visited the FIFA office in France on Saturday (27/7).
Accompanied by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Prabowo toured several rooms in the office. Gianni also showed him the first World Cup trophy, held in 1930.
After the tour, Prabowo was given a ‘challenge’ by Gianni to score a goal in what he called the ‘Olympics Challenge.’
Prabowo accepted the challenge and took a shot at the goal. Although his first attempt hit the goalpost, his second shot went in, earning applause from both FIFA officials and the Indonesian delegation accompanying him.
Among those present were PSSI Chairman and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, and Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo.
Prior to this, Prabowo met with President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris. During the meeting, Prabowo and Macron agreed to emphasize strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, including the economy and defense.
Both parties agreed to continue dialogue and cooperation to achieve a shared vision of progress and prosperity.
