Bogor – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented a Turkish-made Togg electric car to the Indonesian government during a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Bogor Palace on Wednesday (12/2).

The car was not a gift for Prabowo personally but for the Indonesian state as a symbol of the friendship and close relations that have existed between Turkey and Indonesia for seven decades.

The car was given to Prabowo and Erdogan on their way to a state lunch. During the presentation of the car, Prabowo sat in the driver’s seat on the left side of the car.

The Togg T10X is an electric vehicle developed by Turkiye’nin Otomobili Girisim Grubu (Togg), a national automotive company from Turkey.

The vehicle is equipped with smart devices connected to Togg’s mobility ecosystem, including a battery range of up to 523 km.

Erdogan also presented Prabowo with two souvenirs, namely a pair of small and large beautiful vases, white in colour and with purple and gold flowers.

In addition, he also gave Prabowo a work of art in a frame inscribed with an Arabic poem. The poem is a prayer and gratitude of the Javanese people to Sultan Abdulmecid Khan and Muhammad Hasib Pasha, Governor of Hijaz and Syakh Al-Haram, who have ensured the security and peace of the holy land and the welfare of the people with their just rule.

Meanwhile, Prabowo gave two souvenirs to Erdogan. The first is the SS2-V4A2 weapon produced by Pindad, a 5.56 x 45 MM calibre assault rifle. The rifle was inscribed with Erdogan’s name as President of Turkey.

‘This is our industrial production,’ Prabowo said to Erdogan on that occasion while holding hands.

‘For me?’ Erdogan asked Prabowo.

‘Yes, this is for you,’ Prabowo explained.

In addition, Prabowo also gave Erdogan a gold yellow Bali Gegodohan kris.
