Jakarta — President-elect Prabowo Subianto has summoned over 100 individuals to his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Monday (October 14) and Tuesday (October 15), fueling speculation that these figures will play key roles in the upcoming Prabowo-Gibran administration.
Many of the candidates are already well-known to the public, and their proven track records have generated widespread optimism about the composition of Prabowo’s cabinet.
Rio Prasetio, a 32-year-old employee, expressed hope that Prabowo’s chosen ministers will be able to excel in their respective fields and bring about positive change.
“I hope the ministers in Prabowo’s cabinet will be better in terms of their goals and performance compared to the previous ones,” Rio commented on Wednesday (October 16).
Siti Junah, a housewife, shared a similar sentiment, welcoming the new faces who will support Prabowo in his role as president. “I hope the ministers can carry out their duties properly,” said Siti.
She also expressed her confidence in Prabowo’s ability to fulfill his mandate and lead Indonesia toward a brighter future.
“I hope he can fulfill his mandate well and perform his duties effectively. I believe Indonesia will become better than it was before,” Siti added.
Karsiman, a middle-aged vendor, and John Vader, an online transport driver, also expressed their optimism, hoping the new ministers will work hard for the benefit of the people.
“I hope the ministers will perform well, according to the expectations of the people,” said Karsiman.
“I hope the programs implemented will be even better,” added John.
With the upcoming cabinet formation, many Indonesians are eagerly awaiting to see how the new administration will address the country’s challenges and improve the welfare of its citizens. (RR)
