President Prabowo Attends 46th ASEAN Summit Plenary Session

Kuala Lumpur — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, attended the Plenary Session of the 46th ASEAN Summit held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia, on Monday (May 26) at 9:00 a.m. local time (Malaysia Standard Time).

This year’s summit carries the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability”—a reflection of Southeast Asian nations’ shared commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable cooperation amid a complex global landscape.

The proceedings began with the arrival of heads of state and government from all ASEAN member countries, followed by a group photo session. Afterward, the leaders took their designated seats for the official opening and the day’s formal agenda.

The session was officially opened by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

President Prabowo was accompanied by several key members of his Merah Putih Cabinet, including Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan P. Roeslani, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Participating ASEAN member states included Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia. Timor-Leste also attended in its capacity as an observer and candidate for full membership.

President Prabowo’s presence at this regional forum reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening regional integration and promoting stable, mutually beneficial relations throughout Southeast Asia.
