President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has officially approved an increase in the performance allowance (tunjangan kinerja or tukin) for employees of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora). The approval is outlined in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 47 of 2025, which was signed on May 6, 2025.
With the issuance of this regulation, Kemenpora employees will receive higher performance allowances. This marks the first adjustment since the last increase in 2019, which was regulated under Perpres No. 14 of 2019.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, expressed his appreciation for President Prabowo’s attention to the welfare of Kemenpora staff.
“We thank President Prabowo for the increase in performance allowances. We hope this raise will further motivate us in realizing the President’s Asta Cita vision,” said Dito on Saturday (May 10).
The effort to propose a raise in performance allowances is not new. Kemenpora previously submitted a proposal in 2020, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A similar proposal was resubmitted in 2022 but was not approved, as the ministry had yet to fully implement bureaucratic streamlining.
In response to the evaluation, Kemenpora issued Ministerial Regulation No. 8 of 2022 as a foundation for bureaucratic reform. In 2023, the ministry achieved 99 percent functional position alignment. Based on this achievement, a new proposal for allowance adjustment was submitted in 2024.
After going through several presentations and evaluations with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB), the Ministry of Finance, and the Presidential Secretariat, the proposal finally received approval.
“Following all these processes, President Prabowo signed the regulation on May 6, 2025. Kemenpora remains fully committed to advancing President Prabowo’s fourth Asta Cita goal, particularly in terms of sports achievements and youth empowerment,” Dito concluded.
With this increase in performance allowances, it is expected that Kemenpora employees will perform even more optimally in supporting the government’s strategic programs in the fields of youth and sports.
