On Monday, August 19, 2024, President Joko Widodo officially inaugurated three high-ranking officials at the State Palace in Jakarta. This event followed the inauguration of ministers and deputy ministers of the Indonesia Maju Cabinet for the remainder of the 2019-2024 term. The officials inaugurated included the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, the Head of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM), and the Head of the Presidential Communication Office.
In a ceremony led by President Jokowi himself, Hasan Nasbi was appointed as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia (Keppres RI) Number 93/P of 2024. Dadan Hindayana was officially made the Head of the National Nutrition Agency through Keppres RI Number 94/P of 2024. Taruna Ikrar was appointed as the Head of BPOM based on Keppres RI Number 115/TPA of 2024.
During the ceremony, President Jokowi administered the oath of office to the three appointees. The oath stated, “I pledge loyalty to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will execute all laws and regulations faithfully for my service to the nation and state.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and coordinating ministers such as Hadi Tjahjanto and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Guests at the event also extended their congratulations to the newly appointed officials.
