Prabowo Urges Citizens to Use Technology to Monitor Corrupt Officials

Jakarta — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has called on all Indonesians to speak up and not remain silent when witnessing misconduct within the government.

The call was delivered during his state address commemorating the birth of Pancasila at the Pancasila Building in Jakarta on Monday (June 2). In a speech filled with vigor and determination, Prabowo emphasized that the values of Pancasila must not merely be empty slogans but should be upheld through concrete actions—particularly in promoting justice and combating corruption.

“All misconduct and all leaks must stop. Any official unable to perform their duties should step down before I remove them,” Prabowo asserted.

He also underscored the importance of public oversight of state leaders and officials. In this digital age, citizens are encouraged to utilize the technology at their disposal to document and report corrupt behavior that harms the nation.

“We now have technology. People in the villages can use their gadgets. If there’s evidence, broadcast it immediately. Do not tolerate corruption, do not tolerate officials acting recklessly,” Prabowo urged.

He reminded the public that Indonesia is a great nation with immense wealth—wealth that is often squandered by a handful of individuals abusing their power.

As such, Prabowo reaffirmed his commitment to cleaning up the government without discrimination and called for the support of all sectors of society, particularly the younger generation.

“We are the generation that will soon leave the stage. We are now fighting corruption so that you may inherit a strong and healthy nation. There must be no poverty in Indonesia, no hunger in Indonesia. Let us unite—do not hesitate,” he declared before attendees of the ceremony.

Furthermore, the President stressed that the government would not tolerate anyone disloyal to the nation. He ordered all state institutions and personnel to reform and cleanse themselves.

“Do not think this nation is absent. Do not think this country can be manipulated. Do not think the Republic of Indonesia can be deceived. Once again, from this historic place, on behalf of the Indonesian people, I urge all institutions to reform immediately. Clean yourselves up, because the state will act. Those disloyal to the nation will be removed decisively, without exception—regardless of family ties, political parties, or ethnicity,” he said firmly.

In closing, President Prabowo invited all Indonesians to honor the legacy of the nation’s founders and uphold Pancasila as a guiding principle in building a united, just, and prosperous Indonesia.

“Let us ensure that Pancasila lives. Pancasila is not merely a chant. We must not stay silent when its values are weakened. We must protect, uphold, and carry forward those values so that our nation can progress,” Prabowo concluded.
