Jakarta – Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto has warmly welcomed the inclusion of the NasDem Party in the Indonesia Maju Coalition. He called for unity and collaborative effort to serve the Indonesian people.
This announcement was made during the visit of NasDem Party Chairman Surya Paloh at Kertanegara IV, South Jakarta, on Thursday, (15/8).
“The essence is a determination, a realization to collaborate for the people, now is the time to unite and work for the populace,” said Prabowo.
Further, the president-elect for the 2024-2029 term noted that during the recent elections, the differences of opinion between Gerindra and NasDem were normal, healthy, and respectful.
“Differences in opinion and choices are part of life; it is normal and good that we continue to respect each other, but now is the time to unite,” Prabowo emphasized.
It is noteworthy that the NasDem Party was the first to join the administration of president-elect Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as directly stated by Surya Paloh in April 2024.
In the 2024 elections, NasDem endorsed the presidential ticket of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar.
