Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto wants Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) to move quickly, but still prioritise caution.
‘The management of Indonesia’s assets can be done as well as possible, as carefully as possible, and that later all our economic entities are carried out with efficiency that can compete with all entities in the world,’ Prabowo said in a meeting with investors and Danantara officials in Jakarta, Friday (7/3).
‘We will move quickly but we will move very carefully and cautiously,’ he continued.
On that occasion, Prabowo again explained the purpose of establishing Danantara. He explained that this national investment management agency was built to optimise the management of state assets.
‘We admit to ourselves that we need a lot of improvement so that the performance of our assets is quite good,’ Prabowo said.
In order to maximise this potential, Prabowo said the government also invited all parties engaged in the investment world to provide advice and views.
‘We invite all parties who can give us critical views, their experiences, how they make investments,’ Prabowo explained.
As for the agenda, Prabowo also invited American investment legend Raymond Thomas Dalio and a number of business figures from the country. The meeting with Ray Dalio was held to receive advice and criticism about Danantara. (RR)
