Cairo — President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Indonesian students at Al Azhar University during his official state trip left a heartfelt impression on those present.
The students, particularly the female attendees, expressed their gratitude and emotional connection after hearing Prabowo’s speech and guidance.
“We’re so thankful, so grateful. We never imagined being in the same room with the President, breathing the same air as him. We didn’t expect this at all,” said Adelia and Indie, two students who attended the event at the Al Azhar Convention Center on Wednesday (December 18).
For Rizka, another student at Al Azhar University, the visit felt like being reunited with a parent while far away from home.
“I’m so grateful to be here. It feels like being visited by a parent—someone who truly takes pride in us while we are far from our own families,” Rizka shared.
The students also expressed admiration for Prabowo’s wisdom and charisma as a leader, highlighting the inspiration they felt from his visit.
“His wisdom and his authority are remarkable, and we’re in awe. We pray that President Prabowo stays strong, patient, and motivated in fulfilling his duties. May he always carry out his responsibilities with integrity, and may Indonesia progress further,” they said in unison.
The visit underscored Prabowo’s connection with the younger generation and his role as a source of pride and inspiration for Indonesian students abroad.
