Hambalang — President-elect Prabowo Subianto gathered cabinet candidates for an intensive briefing aimed at enhancing teamwork and preparing them for their future roles. The meeting, held at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (October 16), focused on key national and global issues such as geopolitics and economics.
One of the cabinet candidates, Amran Sulaiman, who currently serves as the Minister of Agriculture in President Joko Widodo’s cabinet, emphasized Prabowo’s clear and bold vision for Indonesia.
“This is extraordinary. During the briefing, we were taught about geopolitics, economics, GDP growth, and much more. It’s very interesting, and most importantly, Prabowo emphasized building a strong team to achieve his grand ideas for the nation. He’s extremely visionary,” Amran told reporters on Wednesday.
Amran expressed his optimism, stating that with strong teamwork, they could realize Prabowo’s ambitious vision for the country.
Budi Arie Setiadi, currently the Minister of Communication and Informatics, also shared his positive experience, noting the valuable insights into Indonesia’s promising future.
“The material addressed current challenges facing the nation, making it highly strategic. We discussed everything from geopolitics and geo-economics to people-centered issues like nutritious meals,” Budi Arie explained.
He also highlighted the importance of solidifying the Prabowo-Gibran team to effectively implement people-focused programs, emphasizing the need for a unified and cohesive team.
Meutya Hafid, former Chair of DPR Commission I and a member of the Golkar Party, echoed similar sentiments, stressing Prabowo’s message of unity among cabinet candidates from diverse backgrounds.
“President-elect Prabowo reminded us that the challenges ahead won’t be easy, and everyone must be prepared to work quickly, keeping an eye on both domestic and international developments. The geopolitical landscape presents challenges, so we need to work swiftly. I’m very optimistic,” Meutya added.
The 11-hour briefing, which ran from 08:00 AM to 07:00 PM, brought all cabinet candidates together, all of whom were dressed in white, symbolizing their shared commitment to Prabowo’s vision. (RR)
