Bogor – An enthusiastic atmosphere was seen when Bogor residents met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto after conducting a surprise inspection of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at two State Elementary Schools (SDN) in the Bogor area, West Java, Monday (10/2).
The enthusiasm could be seen from how Bogor residents, ranging from children to mothers, did not waste the moment to shake hands and take selfies with Prabowo, who arrived at the location at around 9am.
‘Sir, you’re healthy, sir,’ said a resident shaking hands with Prabowo.
‘Sir, take your picture,’ said another resident.
Prabowo conducted the inspection of the MBG programme at SDN 1 and SDN 2 Kedung Jaya 2, Bogor, with the aim of ensuring that the implementation of the MBG programme is running well.
Prabowo also conducted similar inspections at a number of schools in the Jakarta area, such as SDN 05 Jati and TK Negeri 02 in early February 2025.
The Free Nutritious Meal Programme is one of the government’s top priorities that was initiated to improve the quality of health and education of Indonesian children. (RR)
