Prabowo Subianto Meets with U.S. Corporate Leaders: “They Believe in Indonesia’s Economy”

Washington, D.C. — On the second day of his visit to Washington, D.C., Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with The United States Indonesia Society (USINDO) on Monday, November 11, where he engaged with top leaders of major U.S. corporations.

USINDO is a non-governmental organization dedicated to enhancing U.S. understanding of Indonesia and fostering relations between the two nations. The meeting, held at 4:00 p.m. local time, was a relaxed gathering attended by 25 representatives from both the United States and Indonesia, including executives from major American companies such as Freeport McMoRan, S&P Global, Boeing, BP America, ExxonMobil, Citi, and Caterpillar.

“I’m very pleased with the meetings today with some of the largest companies in America and globally. The United States has long been involved in Indonesia’s economic development, contributing to the growth of our nation,” Prabowo said following the meeting.

Prabowo also encouraged these prominent American companies to continue investing and participating actively in Indonesia’s development agenda.

“They continue to have faith in Indonesia’s economy, and I urged them to keep investing and supporting our development plans,” Prabowo added.

Prabowo was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Head of BKPM M. Rosan P. Roeslani, Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Science, and Technology Prof. Stella Christie, Indonesian Embassy representative Ida Bagus Made Bimantara, and Secretariat Cabinet member Teddy Indra Wijaya.
