Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto managed to attract Qatari investors in the signing of an agreement or MoU on investment in the construction of 1 million houses for the people.
“This happened thanks to the very high trust in Mr President (Prabowo), and this is not the only investor who will come in the housing sector, and the President has a lot of support,” said Maruarar Sirait, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) at the Merdeka Palace, Wednesday (8/1).
The signing of this MoU also shows Prabowo’s success in maintaining relations and good relations between the two countries Indonesia and Qatar that have been established.
“And this is a message from His Highness the Emir of Qatar, that there is a strong relationship between Qatar and Indonesia. So we support in all sectors, and one of the sectors is the business world,” said Qatari representative Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Thani who was present on the occasion.
Prabowo is targeting to provide 3 million decent housing and has now proceeded to build the first 1 million houses.
“We were given a target of 3 million to build housing. In 2 months and 20 days, approximately 40,000 have been built,” said Ara.
Meanwhile, previously Prabowo also witnessed the signing of the MoU agreement signed and represented by the Indonesian side, namely Maruarar and the Qatari side Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Thani. (RR)
