Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has affirmed that no one is immune to the law in the recent Minyakita case.
This was revealed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono after meeting with Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/3).
Sudaryono stated that the President was furious and strongly condemned the perpetrators who harmed the community.
‘Well, how can I not be angry, the people, not only the President, we are all angry,’ said Sudaryono.
Furthermore, Sudaryono conveyed Prabowo’s statement that no one should dance on the suffering of the people and harm the people.
‘The President’s message is that no one should dance on the interests, dance on the suffering of the people,’ he said.
For this reason, according to Sudaryono, Prabowo emphasised that no one is immune to the law in his era of governance. Prabowo also did not hesitate to take firm action against the perpetrators.
‘The point is, there is no one, no one is no exception, no one is immune to the law in Indonesia. According to the President, whoever violates, let alone harms many people, we must be firm,’ said Sudaryono.
Previously, this case was initially revealed after Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman conducted a non-conformity in the dosage of MinyaKita cooking oil. He found that MinyaKita labelled as 1 litre only contained around 750-800 millilitres.
Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus) Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf also revealed that his party had confiscated the evidence. (RR)
