Jakarta – President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, convened a limited meeting at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Monday (16/12) to discuss preparations for the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations.

In his address, Prabowo emphasized to ministers and officials the importance of creating a safe and comfortable environment so that all citizens can celebrate the holiday season with joy and goodwill.

“This afternoon, I gathered you all to review and ensure the preparations for Nataru 2024–2025, so that every layer of society can experience comfort and joy during the celebrations,” Prabowo stated.

During the meeting, Prabowo requested reports on various critical areas from the attending officials. These included security, transportation, fuel supply, food availability, workforce readiness, and the tourism sector.

Prabowo noted that preparations for Nataru had already been discussed in several previous meetings and expressed confidence that the ministers had coordinated effectively.

“I trust that all of you have coordinated well, but I also want to receive the latest updates,” he emphasized.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka; Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan; Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono; and Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno.

Other attendees included Minister of Religious Affairs Nasarudin Umar, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Minister of Public Works and Housing Dody Hanggodo, Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry Bahlil Lahadalia, and Head of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) Herindra.

Also present were Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri and Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi.
