Jakarta – Political analyst Ujang Komarudin has praised President Prabowo Subianto’s initiative to hold a camping retreat for the members of the Merah Putih Cabinet in Magelang, Central Java.
According to Ujang, this is a groundbreaking move that will foster teamwork and unity within the cabinet.
“I see what Prabowo is doing—holding a camping retreat in Magelang for the Merah Putih Cabinet—is something new, a breakthrough that he needs to implement to ensure his cabinet is cohesive, united, and committed to working effectively for the benefit of the people,” Ujang told reporters on Monday (October 21).
Ujang further emphasized that high-ranking officials should be properly prepared beforehand.
“They’ve already been provided with material briefings, including in Hambalang, and during this camping retreat in Magelang, their minds will once again be ‘recharged’ with new insights,” Ujang stated.
He also noted that this retreat serves as mental preparation. “Of course, a minister must be mentally prepared to work for the nation’s challenges and be ready to work tirelessly, potentially 24 hours a day.”
“Additionally, this camping activity is beneficial for physical fitness. Ministers need to be healthy; they can’t afford to fall ill. I see what Prabowo is doing as a novel breakthrough that will certainly benefit his ministers and, ultimately, the public interest,” Ujang concluded. (RR)
