Prabowo Subianto Donates 100 Vehicles for Mosque Maintenance

Jakarta – Indonesian Minister of Defense and President-elect Prabowo Subianto has donated 100 vehicles for mosque maintenance during the 14th National Congress of the Indonesian Youth Mosque Communication Body (BKPRMI) in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday, August 9, 2024.

The vehicles were symbolically handed over by retired Police Commissioner General Syafruddin, along with BKPRMI’s General Chairman Datuk Said Aldi Al Idrus and H Rahmatshah. Thirty vehicles were distributed among nine BKPRMI regional branches across provinces including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Riau, the Riau Islands, Jambi, Bengkulu, and Lampung.

On behalf of all regional BKPRMI branches, Said Aldi Al Idrus expressed gratitude to Prabowo Subianto for his ongoing support. He recounted that Prabowo had previously donated 40 vehicles for a mosque cleaning program aimed at 222,000 mosques and prayer rooms across Indonesia.

“At that time, 40 vehicles were donated to BKPRMI in collaboration with the Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo Foundation for the Clean 222,000 Mosques/Prayer Rooms across Indonesia program,” Said explained.

He added that now, another 100 vehicles have been donated by Prabowo to regional and district BKPRMI branches actively involved in cleaning mosques throughout Indonesia.

“This is a demonstration of Prabowo Subianto’s concern for the Muslim community and his consistent support for the maintenance of mosques and prayer rooms, as well as preserving their sanctity,” Said noted.

It is worth noting that of the 100 vehicles donated for mosque maintenance, 30 were specifically designated for BKPRMI branches on the island of Sumatra. The remaining 70 vehicles are set to be distributed to BKPRMI branches in Banten, Jakarta, Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Papua, West Papua, and North Maluku.
