Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has ensured that the holiday allowance (THR) for private, state-owned enterprises and regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) workers will be disbursed at the latest seven days before Eid al-Fitr 1446 AH.

This was conveyed by Prabowo through a press statement at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (10/3).

‘I request that the THR for private workers, SOEs and BUMDs be given no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr,’ Mr Prabowo said.

In addition, Prabowo also expressed the government’s concern for couriers and online transport drivers. He also asked companies that house online drivers to give holiday bonuses to their workers.

‘This year the government pays special attention to online drivers and couriers who have made an important contribution in supporting transport and logistics services in Indonesia,’ he said.

Prabowo hopes that the policy, which will be detailed by the Ministry of Manpower, can make online drivers celebrate Eid well.

‘Hopefully, with this policy, online drivers will have a good holiday, homecoming and Eid,’ Prabowo said. (RR)
