Bekasi – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto called a number of officials while directly checking the condition of flood-affected residents in Tambun Inpres Village, Buni Bakti Village, Babelan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, Saturday (8/3).

The moment happened when Prabowo was talking to the residents in one of the houses. Prabowo called a number of relevant officials to immediately renovate facilities that have not been operational and repair SD Negeri 04 Babelan, which was also affected by the flood.

One of the officials Prabowo called on that occasion was Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana to ensure the Free Nutritious Meal programme in the area.

‘Mr Dadan, how many kitchens are there in Bekasi? Mr Dadan, I am now in Babelan District,’ Prabowo said.

‘In Bekasi Regency, Babelan District. Yes, but the food hasn’t arrived yet. The food hasn’t arrived here yet, in Babelan Subdistrict. It’s just that their condition is a lot of flooding. This is the elementary school. SDN 04 is still submerged. So we have to think about what to do later,’ he continued.

‘We will do the MBG in a rather high area and then it can be sent to schools,’ Dadan replied.

‘Yes, the kitchen will be in a high place,’ Prabowo said.

‘Yes, sir. So meanwhile in Bekasi there is one kitchen that is not operational, it is still flooded. But the others are still there,’ replied Dadan.

Dadan also said that there are currently two Free Nutritious Meal SPPG kitchens in Bekasi Regency. In addition, BGN is also preparing a large kitchen in the city of Jakarta to supply food when kitchens in certain areas have problems, such as this flood.

Prabowo arrived at the location at 17:57 before iftar time. At the location, Prabowo also broke his fast at the house of one of the residents by drinking water while chatting.
