Jakarta – The President-elect for the period 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, spoke with the foreign media Al Jazeera where he shared his personal views on life.

In the interview aired on Instagram @talktoaljazeera, Prabowo initially stated that the best generation of Indonesia was the one that fought against the colonizers and struggled to bring independence to Indonesia.

“The best thing I see in those fighters is their honesty, their courage, and their love for the community, how proud they are to be Indonesian. And that influences me,” he said.

Indonesia, he continued, is very traditional and has a culture with some aspects that could be considered.

“We look for the positive, we search for the common good,” he stated.

“So when we are insulted, underestimated, and slandered, that is part of life,” he added.

Prabowo also said that despite all this, he always tries to do his best in life.

“And in every mission that I undertake, I will try my utmost,” said Prabowo.
