Malaysia – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Bunga Raya Complex, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, welcomed by a number of Malaysian high-ranking officials and a guard of honour, Thursday (9/1).
Prabowo arrived in Malaysia at 10am local time after departing from Halim Perdana Kusuma Airbase Jakarta at 7am.
Welcoming Prabowo were Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan, Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Indera Hermono, and Indonesian Defence Attaché Brigadier General Winarno.
Prabowo greeted them one by one with a friendly greeting. Prabowo also took the time to salute the guard of honour as he walked through the red carpet to the car.
Meanwhile, Prabowo’s arrival in Malaysia was to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur.
The two discussed bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia and discussed various other global and strategic issues to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
Also accompanying Prabowo in the bilateral meeting with the Malaysian PM were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. (RR)
