Jakarta – President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto officially announced salary increases for teachers who are Civil Servants (ASN) and non-ASN honorary teachers during the National Teachers’ Day celebrations at Velodrome, Jakarta, on Thursday (28/11).
Prabowo stated that ASN teachers will receive a salary increase equivalent to one month’s basic salary. Meanwhile, professional allowances for non-ASN teachers who have completed teacher certification will rise to IDR 2 million.
“We have increased the budget to improve the welfare of ASN teachers, including civil servants and PPPK, as well as non-ASN teachers. ASN teachers will receive an additional benefit equivalent to one month’s basic salary,” Prabowo explained, met with enthusiastic applause from thousands of teachers present.
“For non-ASN teachers, the professional allowance will be IDR 2 million per month. In 2025, 1,932,666 teachers will be certified educators, accounting for 64.4%. This marks an increase of 650,000 certified teachers compared to 2024,” he added.
Prabowo also announced that in 2025, there will be professional teacher training programs for both ASN and non-ASN teachers who have attained D4 or S1 educational qualifications. Gradually, teachers who have not yet achieved these qualifications will receive educational assistance to continue their studies.
