Beijing – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Chinese President Xi Jinping jointly witnessed the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and China across various sectors. The signing ceremony took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Saturday (November 9).
The signed MoUs cover a broad range of sectors, from maritime economy to mineral resources, and include the following agreements:
- Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Fresh Coconut Exports from Indonesia to China
- Technical Guidelines for Promoting Sustainable Fisheries
- Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Blue Economy Cooperation
- Memorandum of Understanding on Mineral Resources Cooperation
- Memorandum of Understanding on Green Minerals Cooperation
- Memorandum of Understanding on Water Resources Cooperation
- Memorandum of Understanding on Conformity Assessment Cooperation
These MoUs aim to deepen Indonesia-China cooperation and are based on a mutual commitment to achieving shared, beneficial outcomes for both nations.
“Once again, President Xi, esteemed leaders, I would like to reaffirm our commitment to enhancing this partnership and collaborating for the mutual benefit of our two nations, as well as for the prosperity, peace, and stability of all Asia. This is my commitment,” Prabowo stated. (RR)
