New Delhi, India – During their visit to India, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met several times and exchanged friendly gestures, ranging from hugging to calling each other ‘brother’.
Prabowo was in India from Thursday (23/1) night to Sunday (26/1). Since being in India, Prabowo and Modi have attended five events together and both have looked friendly.
The first was when Prabowo received a guard of honour at the state welcoming ceremony at the Indian Presidential Palace, Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on Saturday (25/1). On that occasion Prabowo and Modi were seen hugging tightly and laughing widely.
The second moment was during an official meeting with Modi at Hyderabad House on the same day. Third, the two had lunch together after the meeting.
Fourth, Prabowo on the same day also attended a dinner by Indian President Droupadi Murmu, which Modi also attended. At this moment, Modi greeted Prabowo with the nickname ‘brother’.
“So brother, how was your day?” asked Modi, while shaking Prabowo’s hand.
“Very great, thank you,” Prabowo replied by returning Modi’s handshake.
After that, their intimate moment also occurred when Prabowo attended the Republic of India Day commemoration parade at Kartavya Path. At this agenda, Modi welcomed Prabowo with a hug.
Sixth, Prabowo and Modi’s closeness also took place when both attended the “At Home Reception” event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prabowo and Modi, who sat side by side, seemed to follow the event happily.
On the agenda, their friendship was also seen when Prabowo said goodbye to Modi to leave India. The two hugged and shook hands. (RR)
