London — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto shared the outcomes of his meeting with King Charles III of the United Kingdom, where they discussed various topics, particularly environmental and natural conservation.
Prabowo revealed this following his visit to Buckingham Palace on Thursday (11/21).
“This was a courtesy visit. He is very concerned about the environment, forest conservation, and nature preservation. In this area, we share many commonalities. I expressed my support, and we agreed to cooperate,” Prabowo stated.
During the meeting, Prabowo also received advice from King Charles III to connect with key figures and organizations to address environmental issues and advance forest conservation efforts.
“He (King Charles) suggested I meet with some influential figures in networks that have been dormant for years to move forward on these issues,” Prabowo said.
The meeting also gave Prabowo an opportunity to reminisce about his time studying and living in England.
He noted that King Charles had visited Indonesia twice before and mentioned his intention to invite the King back to Indonesia.
“He (King Charles) has been to Indonesia twice, and I have invited him to visit again,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
