Tangerang – An emotional and spirited atmosphere filled Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Sunday (May 4), now officially designated as a dedicated terminal for Hajj and Umrah departures.
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, made a personal appearance to greet Indonesian pilgrims preparing to depart for the Holy Land.
Arriving around 2:00 PM local time, Prabowo was warmly welcomed by pilgrims who had been waiting since midday. As he stepped out of his vehicle, he walked toward the crowd with a warm smile.
“Assalamualaikum,” greeted Prabowo, extending his hand to shake with the pilgrims.
“Waalaikumsalam, may we take a photo, Sir?” responded one of the excited pilgrims. Prabowo graciously agreed, taking time for photos and creating a heartwarming and familial moment.
Before continuing his tour of the new facilities at Terminal 2F, Prabowo offered a brief but heartfelt prayer to the pilgrims. “May your Hajj be Mabrur, everyone,” he said sincerely, drawing smiles and emotional reactions from those present.
In his remarks, Prabowo emphasized the importance of ensuring the comfort and safety of Indonesian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. He stated that the inauguration of Terminal 2F represents a concrete effort by the government to improve religious service facilities.
“We understand that our pilgrims require proper attention and care. Therefore, under my leadership, the government will do everything in its power to provide the best possible service,” said Prabowo.
