President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, enjoyed a dinner with the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at Bakmi Jowo Bu Citro 1 in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday, July 21, 2025.
On this occasion, Prabowo and Jokowi sat at the same table.
Also seated at the same table were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming and the Head of the Agency for Development Control and Special Investigation (BAPPISUS), Aris Marsudiyanto.
Prabowo was seated across from Gibran, while Jokowi sat across from Aris.
Both Prabowo and Jokowi were seen enjoying bowls of noodle soup.
On the table were glasses of water and tea.
Before the meal, Prabowo and Jokowi had a brief one-on-one conversation while seated at the same table.
The dinner was held privately and lasted around one hour.
At another table, several ministers from the Red-and-White Cabinet were present, including Cabinet Secretary Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi.
Also in attendance were Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, and Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha.
Who is Aris Marsudiyanto?
Aris drew attention for sharing a table with Prabowo, Jokowi, and Gibran.
According to Antara, Aris is the Head of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the Gerindra Party for the West Java region. Known as a behind-the-scenes figure, he is highly loyal and has supported Prabowo through his journey to the presidency.
Prabowo and Aris have known each other since graduating from the Military Academy in 1992, when they both served in the 81st Anti-Terror Detachment of Kopassus.
Aris later opted for early retirement in 2006 with the final rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol).
In addition, Aris serves as the CEO of one of Prabowo’s companies.
In the 2019 elections, he founded the National Movement for Love of Prabowo (GNCP) and has consistently supported him to this day.
During the 2009, 2014, 2019, and 2024 elections, Aris played an active role in the campaigns, particularly in West Java.
