Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto on Monday (Aug. 25) swore in a new slate of senior state officials, including ambassadors, the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and the leadership of newly established government agencies, in a ceremony at the State Palace.
The inauguration began with the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by the oath of office. The appointments included:
- Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs
- Head and Deputy Head of the North Coast of Java Authority
- Head of the Mineral Industry Agency
- Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN)
- Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT)
- Several Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the Republic of Indonesia
The oath was led directly by President Prabowo and recited in unison by the appointees:
“In the name of God, I swear to remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution and to carry out all laws and regulations with utmost integrity, in service to the nation. In fulfilling my duties, I will uphold the ethics of my office with a full sense of responsibility.”
