Jakarta — All attendees at the Annual Session of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR/DPR/DPD) rose to their feet in a standing ovation after a video showcasing the achievements of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration was played at the Nusantara Building, Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (Aug. 15).
The eight-minute video highlighted the list of priority programs successfully implemented during Prabowo’s 10 months in office since his inauguration in October 2024.
It also featured testimonials from members of the public expressing appreciation and support for flagship initiatives such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program and the People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat). Some audience members were visibly moved to tears.
Following the video presentation, House Speaker Puan Maharani invited Prabowo to deliver his State Address. The president rose, bowed respectfully to members of the MPR and invited guests, and then proceeded to the podium to begin his speech at the 2025 Annual Session.
Prabowo was seen bowing once more to legislators before taking the stage.
Later this afternoon, he is scheduled to present his introductory remarks and explanation on the Draft State Budget (APBN) for Fiscal Year 2026, along with the Financial Note and supporting documents.
