Serdang Bedagai, July 30, 2025 — Hasan Nasbi, Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), shared key insights with regional leaders to align understanding on President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship programs during an event held in Sei Rampah, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra, on Wednesday (July 30).
Hasan was joined by Muhamad Isra Ramli, Deputy I for Communication Materials and Information at the PCO; Tigor Pangaribuan, Deputy for Systems and Governance at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN); and Governor of North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution. The event, titled “Tangible Evidence of President Prabowo Subianto’s Programs,” was organized by DPP Gempita (Millennial Movement for the Love of the Homeland).
The forum was also attended by several regional leaders, including: Darma Wijaya, Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Maya Hasmita, Regent of Labuhanbatu, Baharudin Siagian, Regent of Batu Bara, along with other local officials and representatives of the North Sumatra Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum).
In his remarks, Hasan emphasized the importance of synchronizing perspectives across all levels of government to ensure smooth and coordinated implementation of national priority programs.
“We must ensure alignment—especially between central and local governments—so we can move forward in unison. Shared understanding is key,” he stated.
Hasan explained that President Prabowo’s policy agenda is not improvised but based on long-term planning—many ideas were laid out in a book Prabowo authored over a decade ago, which now serve as the basis for government programs.
One such flagship initiative is the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program, which Hasan described as the product of thoughtful, long-term vision. He noted that similar programs have already been implemented in over 109 countries, with impacts observable 10 to 20 years down the line. Hasan called on all parties to contribute to the program’s acceleration.
“The central government provides regulations and funding. Local governments build the kitchens. The private sector is also welcome to participate,” he emphasized.
The forum also served as a platform for regional leaders to present feedback and proposals directly to BGN representatives regarding the MBG program. Hasan stressed that collaboration and direct communication are vital for generating real, field-level breakthroughs.
Hasan further reminded attendees that SPPG (Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit) kitchens must be managed carefully. Each meal served must meet at least one-third of daily caloric requirements, and equally important—it must taste good.
“If the food isn’t tasty and goes uneaten, the goal isn’t met. That’s why I say: if the food isn’t good, send feedback. It’s wasteful if it ends up in the trash,” he said.
