On Pancasila Day, Prabowo: Loyalty to the Republic Means Keeping Public Trust and Not Stealing from the People

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, underscored the importance of integrity and moral responsibility for all national leaders during his speech at the Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony held at the Pancasila Building in Jakarta on Monday (02/06/2025).

Delivering his address under the theme “Strengthening the Pancasila Ideology Towards a Great Indonesia,” Prabowo highlighted that true loyalty to the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) lies in upholding the trust of the people.

“Our loyalty to the Republic of Indonesia must be demonstrated—especially by leaders at the national, provincial, district, and village levels—by protecting the people’s trust and not deceiving them,” Prabowo stressed.

He also warned public officials entrusted by the people not to abuse their power. Upholding the values of Pancasila, he said, must be reflected through concrete actions that prioritize public interest.

“Guard the people’s trust, do not betray them. Protect public wealth, do not steal from it,” he asserted.

The President emphasized that Pancasila Day should not merely be a ceremonial occasion, but a moment to renew the nation’s commitment to its founding ideals. As Indonesia moves forward in its pursuit of justice and prosperity, Pancasila must remain the foundation of all policy and leadership.

“Let us ensure that Pancasila lives on. Pancasila is not just a chant. We must not stay silent when its values are being weakened. We must guard it, defend it, and carry those values forward so that our nation continues to advance,” he concluded.
