Jakarta – Online motorcycle taxi drivers expressed their gratitude and happiness when Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced the Hari Raya Bonus (BHR) policy for online drivers.
‘Happy, really happy. Alhamdulillah, I’m really happy. Very good news for us as active partner drivers. Thank you very much for Mr President in particular,’ said Grab driver Suyanto at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (10/3) afternoon.
In line with Suyanto, Riska Amelia and Suharyani, who are also online motorcycle taxi drivers, were touched because this is the first time in the Prabowo administration that ojol drivers have been paid attention to and given BHR.
‘This is the first time in President Prabowo’s era that the world of ojol has been given BHR, since 2016,’ said Riska and Suharyani.
Meanwhile, compared to last year, online ojek drivers only get rewards from points earned while driving from related companies.
‘Last year we did not form THR so it was only limited to rewards,’ said Riska.
The ojol drivers also prayed for Prabowo’s health and success in leading Indonesia to become more advanced.
‘We hope that you will always be healthy. Move forward for our country. Thank you for helping us as partners to get THR. Thank you very much,’ they said.
Attending the press conference with Prabowo were Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, CEO of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) Patrick Walujo and Grab CEO Anthony Tan as well as representatives of online motorcycle taxi drivers. (RR)
