Bogor – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with Turkish President His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Wednesday (12/2) afternoon.
During the meeting, Prabowo wanted the two countries to further strengthen the diplomatic cooperation that has been well-established and solid for 75 years until now.
‘Today’s meeting is proof that the partnership between Indonesia and Turkey is very strong and very solid. And I and the Indonesian political leadership want this relationship to be stronger, more solid, and closer,’ Prabowo said.
Prabowo at this bilateral meeting also expressed his desire for trade between the two countries to be more mutually beneficial.
‘We want trade between Turkey and Indonesia to increase and I believe that it will increase in the near future. And we will continue to strive so that trade between Turkey and Indonesia is more balanced, mutually beneficial, and mutually reinforcing,’ Prabowo said.
‘Let us finalise our trade agreement, CEPA, to strengthen our respective economies. I also request that our respective trade be mutually beneficial,’ he continued. (RR)
