Jakarta – The Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) has not only impacted school students but also farmers as suppliers of raw materials.
This was confirmed by the Commander of Kodim (Dandim) 0624 / Bandung Regency, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Tinton Amin Putra during the Launching of Healthy Nutritious Meals in the Koramil 2401 / Rancaekek area some time ago.
‘That’s right, for the ingredients, for example in Rancaekek, we take the ingredients from around Rancaekek, from local farmers, it’s already with Mr Prabowo’s programme that the economy is running,’ he said as in his statement, Thursday (16/1).
Tinton explained that the MBG programme budget comes from the central government through the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). However, the provision of raw materials has been instructed to revive the local economy.
‘Indeed, the budget is from the centre, but we take ingredients such as rice, eggs, fish and others from the surrounding community, so that economic changes take place in each region,’ said Tinton.
‘Including rice, there are fruits, there are side dishes of chicken, tempeh, carrots, vegetables and finally milk. We also give the milk. So four healthy five perfect,’ he continued.
In Rancaekek Sub-district, as many as 2,917 students from PAUD, kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school received the programme. In total, four other sub-districts also received the MBG programme such as Bojongsoang, Cicalengka, Ciparay, and Nagreg sub-districts. (RR)
