Karawang — Residents from Tempuran, Karawang, West Java, expressed pride and happiness after having the opportunity to shake hands with President Prabowo Subianto during his visit to inspect the saline tilapia aquaculture at the Balai Layanan Usaha Produksi Perikanan Budidaya Karawang (BLUPPB), West Java, on Monday (2/12).
Dyah Ayu Aprilia was among the hundreds of Karawang residents who managed to greet Prabowo personally.
“I came here just to meet the President, Pak Prabowo,” she said.
For Dyah, this marked a special moment, as it was her first time meeting and shaking hands with Prabowo directly.
“When I shook his hand, I thought, ‘Oh my God, I finally met our beloved and cherished leader,’” Dyah exclaimed joyfully.
Dyah, a healthcare worker at Puskesmas Kertamukti, revealed her admiration for Prabowo, which has spanned many years. Upon hearing news of his visit to Karawang, she wasted no time heading to the site to see him in person.
“I just really wanted to meet him,” she added.
During the interaction, Dyah also prayed for Prabowo’s health and success in carrying out his duties as Indonesia’s 8th President.
“May the President always stay healthy,” she wished.
Meanwhile, another local resident, Dacem, expressed pride after her son, Daffa, was lifted and kissed on the forehead by Prabowo.
“Pak Prabowo just picked him up, carried him, and kissed his forehead,” she recounted.
“His hands were so soft when I shook them. Oh my God, I couldn’t even take a photo because of the crowd. Just being able to touch him was a blessing,” Dacem added, brimming with emotion. (RR)
