Jakarta – The latest survey results of the Indonesian Political Indicators reveal that as many as 87.1 percent of respondents or the majority agree with the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme that has been intensified by the administration of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto since 6 January 2025.
“First, we asked them whether they knew about the MBG (Free Nutritious Meal) programme that has been implemented since 6 January 2025. Those who knew were 91.3 per cent. Of the 91.3 per cent, those who claimed to be very satisfied and satisfied reached 64.6 per cent,” said Executive Director of the Indonesian Political Indicator, Burhanuddin Muhtadi in a YouTube broadcast entitled “Public Evaluation of the Performance of the President and the Red and White Cabinet” quoted on Monday (27/1).
The results of the same survey also revealed that the majority of the public considered that the Free Nutritious Meal programme would help fulfil food needs in Indonesia with a percentage of very believing and believing reaching 76.9 per cent.
In addition, 78.4 per cent of respondents believe that the programme can help overcome the stunting problem in Indonesia. Meanwhile, 74.2 per cent of respondents considered the MBG programme to be good or very good in helping to increase small business activities in the community.
“Then, although it seems that there is also a lot of criticism from citizens regarding the adequacy of nutritional value and implementation that is clean from corrupt practices, the majority of citizens are still satisfied with the implementation of the programme that has been running since 6 January 2025, 64.6%,” wrote Indikator Politik Indonesia in the conclusion of their survey.
The Free Nutritious Meal Programme, said Indikator Politik Indonesia, is closely related to key issues that directly affect the lives of everyday citizens.
“Almost half of the citizens think that the programme should be given to all children in Indonesia (47.4%),” concluded Indikator Politik Indonesia. (RR)
