Jakarta – The performance of an orchestra and choir composed of hundreds of party members stole the show at the closing ceremony of Gerindra’s National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday, August 31.
A total of 630 members, divided into a 500-member choir and a 130-member orchestra, provided a luxurious musical accompaniment to the closing events of the Gerindra Party’s Rapimnas.
Before the official ceremony began, attendees and party members were treated to a performance of the song “Pantang Mundur” (Never Retreat) sung by Lea Simanjuntak, accompanied by the Gerindra members’ orchestra.
Following this, the orchestra and choir performed “Indonesia Raya” to mark the official start of the event. At this moment, Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin were seen standing in the front row, singing along.
After the national anthem, the Gerindra orchestra continued by accompanying the song “Ibu Pertiwi” performed by Putri Ariani, creating a majestic and emotional atmosphere in the arena.
The grand display of music by the orchestra and choir, all composed of Gerindra members, received widespread praise from netizens who watched the event via live broadcast. Many commented on how Gerindra, as a major political party, successfully organized a unique and impactful event that highlighted the spirit of Indonesian patriotism.
